aerial-tv
tvOS-style launcher for Xiaomi, TCL and other Chinese Android TVs, ad-free, no root.
aerial-tv rebuilds the Android TV home screen to look and behave like Apple TV — a glass app shelf, folders for hidden system apps, 114 Apple aerial videos as a screensaver, and quick toggles for input source and network. It takes over as the default launcher without root and without disabling any system apps, and revives itself within half a second if the TV's own software tries to kill it. It explains each permission it asks for, but is upfront that some brands and the firmware's own boot ad aren't covered.
What holds up
- +Revives itself within 0.5 seconds if the TV's own software force-kills it, including on Xiaomi standby
- +No root needed and no system apps disabled — your original launcher and all accounts stay intact
- +Explains exactly what each permission does, e.g. location is only used to show the Wi-Fi name
Mind the limits
- −Firmware's own boot-up ad still plays — it isn't removable, only the home screen underneath changes
- −Doesn't support LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, Huawei HarmonyOS, or Android 4.4 and older
- −Installing needs ADB from a computer, or an AI agent run locally — no install straight from the TV's browser
