AfterLid
Keeps your Mac awake for long jobs, with limits, and checks status from your phone.
AfterLid keeps a Mac's screen and background work running after the lid closes, so downloads, builds, renders or local AI agents can finish unattended. Always On sessions are capped at an 8-hour limit and a 30% battery floor, with live thermal checks, and fall back to normal sleep if a limit is hit. The free iPhone app shows battery, heat and current mode; switching modes remotely needs Pro. It only reads AI-provider usage for the dashboard, and that login token stays in the Mac's Keychain rather than being sent to AfterLid's servers.

What holds up
- +8-hour session cap and 30% battery floor, so it won't run the battery dead overnight.
- +Provider login token stays in Mac Keychain — never sent to AfterLid's servers or your phone.
- +Free iPhone app already shows battery, thermal state and mode from anywhere.
Mind the limits
- −Remote mode switching needs Pro — the free app is view-only from your phone.
- −Mac only — there's no version for keeping a Windows or Linux machine awake.
