AirPoise
Uses your AirPods' motion sensors as a free posture coach and head-gesture launcher.
AirPoise reads the AirPods' built-in motion sensors to track head posture and nudge you — a glass overlay, an optional ping — when you've slumped too long, and lets you bind 16 head gestures, like a nod or a tilt, to play/pause, Spaces, Shortcuts, or a script. Everything runs on-device: no camera, no cloud, no account, no analytics. It's upfront about the limit: it reads head angle, so a level head on a rounded back still reads 'good.'

What holds up
- +Fully on-device — no camera, no cloud, no account, nothing leaves the Mac.
- +Free, about 2.5MB, and honest about its limit: it reads head angle, not your spine.
- +16 head gestures bindable to play/pause, Spaces, Shortcuts, scripts or a URL.
Mind the limits
- −Needs macOS 14 Sonoma+ and specific AirPods models (Pro/3/4/Max/Beats Fit Pro) — older gear is out.
- −Posture detection is head-angle only — it can't tell if your back, not just your neck, is slouched.
