android-ad-cleaner
Turns off ads and marketing pushes on Chinese Android phones, no root, fully reversible.
This tool switches off the ads, hot-search rankings, content feeds and marketing push notifications baked into Chinese Android phone firmware (OPPO, Redmi, vivo, Honor, OnePlus and more), using each phone's own settings toggles rather than root access or a custom ROM. It explicitly does not uninstall or disable system apps, modify the system partition, install modules, or agree to any app's terms on your behalf — and it skips account and phone-number pages. Each phone model gets its own tested script with a pass/warn/fail status; a recent update fixed issues reported through 122 user error logs and added scripts for 9 more models.
What holds up
- +No root, no custom ROM, no system partition changes — only toggles the phone's own settings.
- +Explicitly skips account pages and phone numbers, and never auto-agrees to an app's terms for you.
- +Reversible with one command if you suspended an ad package you didn't mean to.
- +Each phone model has a tested, dated script with a pass/warn/fail status, not a generic guess.
Mind the limits
- −Chinese Android phones only (OPPO, Redmi, vivo, Honor...) — not useful on other Android skins.
- −Only works over ADB — doesn't support native HarmonyOS phones that use HDC instead.
- −Coverage is per-model: some phones (like OPPO Find X9 Ultra) are still marked not done yet.
