Artwork Camera: Studio Archive
iPhone art scanner that photographs paintings and keeps a private, exportable archive.
Artwork Camera is an iPhone scanner for painters and printmakers: live edge detection finds the canvas, a two-axis level keeps the phone parallel, and glare detection warns you before a reflection ruins the shot. Each capture gets an ID, a metadata page, and a QR label, then exports as a lossless PNG, a 3000px gallery JPEG, a 1080x1080 Instagram square, or a PDF spec sheet. The archive stays on-device by default, nothing goes to a Nice Software cloud unless you export or share it, and it's built by a working painter in Oslo.
What holds up
- +Glare detection warns before a reflection ruins the shot, a real studio problem, not a generic filter
- +Archive stays on-device by default, nothing uploads to a cloud unless you choose to export
- +Exports four formats from one capture: lossless PNG, gallery JPEG, Instagram square, and a PDF spec sheet
Mind the limits
- −iPhone only, painters on Android have no version to use
- −No cloud backup by default, losing the phone means losing the archive unless you've already exported it
