BackupDrill
Backs up Supabase DB and Storage files together, then proves the restore works.
BackupDrill snapshots your Supabase database and Storage files together into your own S3/R2/B2 bucket — something Supabase's own PITR skips for Storage — then runs scheduled restore drills that verify checksums, table counts and sampled file hashes against a manifest, grading the result with a measured restore time. It connects via a dedicated read-only role (no database password, no service_role key needed), or a three-line SQL snippet if you'd rather not authorize it. The exact backup engine is an open-source MIT CLI you can run yourself; the hosted service runs that same engine on a schedule and emails you when a drill fails. The first month costs $1, against Supabase's own PITR at $100/month per project.

What holds up
- +Backs up Storage files alongside the database — Supabase's own PITR skips Storage entirely.
- +Runs real restore drills (checksums, row counts, sampled file hashes), not just a backup-done flag.
- +Open-source MIT engine — audit it or run the CLI yourself instead of trusting a black box.
- +First month is $1 versus $100/month for Supabase's own PITR, which still excludes Storage.
Mind the limits
- −A failed drill that crashes outright can take up to about three hours to get caught by the sweep.
- −Needs your S3/R2/B2 keys to sync Storage files — DB-only backup works without them, full coverage doesn't.
