BatesKit runs continuous Bates numbering across a whole document set, positioned against each page's own CropBox and rotation, and adds confidentiality legends and exhibit labels, then writes a manifest CSV with SHA-256 hashes plus Summation .dat and Opticon .opt load files. Its check mode separately scans for recoverable text under black-bar redactions, leaked metadata, numbering gaps or duplicates, scanned pages with no text layer, and index mismatches — all read-only, rendered on-device with nothing uploaded.
