ChromaBoard
Extracts color palettes and gradients from screenshots and checks their WCAG contrast
ChromaBoard pulls palettes, gradients and fonts out of screenshots or reference images, reconstructing gradients in perceptual Lab space rather than averaging pixels, and checks every color pair against WCAG AA/AAA. It exports to CSS variables, Tailwind v4 tokens, JSON or SVG, so the palette you calibrate becomes the tokens your codebase uses. Image analysis runs locally in the browser, so references are never uploaded. The free plan is a permanent 5 palettes/3 gradients/30 colors workspace, not a trial; Pro is $4.99/month and lifetime is $199 once.

What holds up
- +Analyzes images locally in the browser — reference screenshots never get uploaded
- +Free plan is permanent (5 palettes, 3 gradients, 30 colors), not a time-limited trial
- +Checks every color pair against WCAG AA/AAA automatically, catching contrast issues before QA
- +Exports straight to CSS variables, Tailwind v4 tokens or JSON, matching what codebases expect
Mind the limits
- −Free tier caps out at 5 palettes and 30 colors — teams with larger systems need Pro at $4.99/month
- −Premium exports and themes are locked behind Pro or the $199 lifetime plan
