Cryptex Vault keeps an encrypted vault on each of your devices and syncs them directly, peer-to-peer, instead of through a central cloud store — a signaling server just introduces the devices, and a TURN relay only carries traffic when a direct connection isn't possible. The core app (browser autofill, passkeys, imports from Bitwarden, 1Password, KeePass and LastPass) is free forever and open source under AGPL-3.0; a €4.99/month Online Services tier adds managed backups if you skip self-hosting. The stated tradeoff: both vaults need to be open and unlocked at once to sync.
