Donut Browser runs unlimited browser profiles on one machine, each with its own fingerprint, cookies, extensions and proxy or VPN, so sites that link accounts by device fingerprint see a different device every time. The anti-detect engine (Wayfern, a Chromium fork) spoofs fingerprints inside the browser engine itself, not via page scripts, and the app sends zero telemetry with no account required. Browser automation via Playwright, Puppeteer or Selenium, and remote MCP access for Claude, Cursor or Codex, are gated behind the paid plans.

What holds up

  • +Zero telemetry and no account needed — profiles, cookies and history stay on your device
  • +Fingerprint spoofing happens inside the Chromium engine, not detected by Cloudflare or reCAPTCHA v3
  • +Open source, so the anti-detect logic is publicly auditable

Mind the limits

  • −Browser automation (Playwright/Puppeteer/Selenium) and remote MCP require a paid plan
  • −Linux AppImage build has a known segfault-on-launch issue needing libfuse2 installed manually
