eInk Optimized Manga with Kindle Comic Converter (+Kobo/KOreader)
Compresses and reflows manga for e-ink readers so pages fill the whole screen.
KCC (Kindle Comic Converter) takes CBZ, EPUB, PDF or folders of JPG/PNG and outputs MOBI/AZW3, EPUB, KEPUB, CBZ or PDF sized to your specific e-ink device — Kindle, Kobo, reMarkable and others — so pages fill the screen edge to edge instead of the margins most conversion methods leave. Downscaling to the device's native resolution is the main trick: it can shrink a 600MB manga volume from a Humble Bundle PDF down to 100MB, which also speeds up page turns and battery life on underpowered readers. It's free and open source, cross-platform, with 5.6k GitHub stars.

What holds up
- +Free, open source, cross-platform — Windows, macOS and Linux, no subscription.
- +Shrinks a 600MB manga volume to around 100MB by downscaling to your device's resolution.
- +True fullscreen output with no margins, unlike most manga conversion methods.
Mind the limits
- −No polished workflow — convert, then USB the output onto your device manually.
- −Best results need a jailbroken Kindle; stock Kindle users lose some options.
