Folksee
Collects video messages from one shared link and plays them back as one group reel.
Folksee sends contributors one link; they record up to 45 seconds per question from a phone or computer, or upload a video they already filmed, no app required. All clips play back in order as one private reel, and the person it's for can record a one-minute thank-you sent back to everyone who contributed. The first 5 contributors are free, no credit card, setup takes about 3 minutes, and it supports a shared TV playback mode and twin reels for two people.
What holds up
- +First 5 contributors are free, no credit card, about 3 minutes to set up
- +No app needed for contributors — they record or upload straight from a browser
- +Up to 45 seconds per question, with specific prompts so people don't freeze on camera
- +Recipient can record and send a thank-you back to everyone who contributed
Mind the limits
- −Contributors beyond the first 5 aren't free — cost scales with how many people you invite
- −Videos wait if credits run out, per the feature list — a stalled reel if you underbudget
