FreedomRouters
Routers that tunnel your traffic through your home IP, instead of a shared VPN address.
FreedomRouters sells three single-purpose routers: FlashedRouter tunnels work traffic through your home connection so corporate tools see your usual location, KeepMyHomeIP gives you a travel unit that makes any network look like home, and TorRouters routes every device on your Wi-Fi through Tor with nothing to install. The pitch is a trusted residential IP instead of a shared VPN range that streaming services and banks already flag. The site's own comparison table calls the hardware a one-time cost against a VPN's forever fee, though FlashedRouter, one of its own three products, actually runs on a required subscription.
What holds up
- +Routes every device on the network through Tor or your home IP with no per-device app or login.
- +Uses a residential IP address that banks and streaming services already trust, unlike a shared VPN range.
- +Rated Excellent on Trustpilot, with reviews the company says are never self-written.
Mind the limits
- −FlashedRouter requires an ongoing subscription, despite the site's own table pitching a one-time cost.
- −Upfront hardware purchase, not a low-commitment trial, so you commit before testing it on your network.
