GPxplore records GPS tracks in the background — surviving calls and screen-off — and smooths noise with a Kalman filter, saving everything as standard GPX files in a folder you control. The free tier covers recording, library management, and two map sources (Google Maps and offline OpenStreetMap); a one-time Pro purchase adds the track editor, elevation correction, and advanced stats like slope and pace. It collects no analytics and works fully offline once tiles are cached — the only exception is elevation correction, which sends coordinates to Open-Elevation with your confirmation.
