Hertzwise
Switches your Mac's DAC sample rate per track so lossless audio plays bit-perfect
Watches what Apple Music or Tidal is decoding and switches your DAC to match that track's sample rate, instead of letting macOS resample everything to one fixed rate. It adds a volume stage for DACs that ignore macOS volume and a per-device headphone EQ, without needing exclusive mode, which the author notes can drop audio or lock volume in Tidal. It's built openly on SyncHz and LosslessSwitcher rather than hiding that lineage, and shows a notice instead of claiming a rate switch the DAC can't actually play.

What holds up
- +Avoids exclusive mode, which the author notes can drop audio or lock volume in Tidal
- +Shows a notice instead of silently claiming a rate switch the DAC can't support
- +Installs alongside SyncHz with separate settings, EQ profiles and permissions
Mind the limits
- −Not notarized — you must manually clear the quarantine flag to install it
- −Requires macOS 15 or later, so older Macs can't run it
