I'm Alive is a daily check-in: tap "I'm okay" once a day, and if you forget, your phone's own activity — unlocks, charging, movement — can confirm you're fine before anyone's notified. It only messages your emergency contacts if you actually go silent; by design, it never calls 911 itself. The free Try tier gives one alert a month; Protect Me alerts every time and adds escalation, SMS, and iPhone-only fall detection, which only works while the app is open unless you also own an Apple Watch.
