Intertakt
Interval timer that survives phone calls and resumes exactly where you paused, screen off.
Intertakt is an interval timer built to run with your phone face-down and the screen off: it beeps and calls out the phase, round and halfway mark over whatever you're playing in Spotify, with independent volume for music, voice and beeps. If a call comes in or you switch apps, the session doesn't reset — it remembers exactly where you stopped ("Paused at 2:14, round 3 of 8") and waits for you to resume. It's free forever with no ads and up to 3 custom plans; Premium is a one-time purchase ($3.99 for the first 100 spots, then $6.99) that removes the plan cap and adds session history plus JSON export/import. There's no account anywhere in the app.
What holds up
- +Survives calls and app switches — resumes from the exact second you paused, no reset to zero.
- +Independent volume for music, voice and beeps, with a ducking toggle you can turn off entirely.
- +Free tier has no session cap and no ads, ever — not just during a trial.
- +Premium is a one-time $3.99–$6.99 purchase, not a subscription.
Mind the limits
- −Coming soon to Google Play only — no iOS release mentioned on this page.
- −Free plan caps you at 3 custom plans — more than that needs the Premium purchase.
