Llmspeed – feel how fast a local LLM runs before you buy the hardware
Shows benchmarked tokens-per-second for local LLMs on specific GPUs before you buy hardware.
Llmspeed pairs a hardware listing (RTX 3090, Mac Studio M5 Ultra, DGX Spark and more) with a model listing (Qwen, GLM, Gemma, GPT-OSS, DeepSeek, Llama) to show how fast a local LLM would feel on that device, based on a short prompt. It's upfront that it mixes sources: measured numbers come from community benchmarks like r/LocalLLaMA and localscore.ai, while others are derived from similar setups or projected from specs rather than actually measured. It's open source on GitHub.

What holds up
- +States directly which numbers are measured from community benchmarks and which are only projected
- +Covers a wide hardware range, from a Ryzen CPU-only box to cloud H100/H200 cards
- +Open source on GitHub — the estimation method isn't a black box
Mind the limits
- −Many numbers are projected from specs, not measured — the figure for your exact setup may not be real
- −Estimates are for a short prompt on a single device, may not reflect longer context or multi-GPU setups
