Lullable
iPhone app reads gentle true stories aloud until you fall asleep mid-sentence
Lullable plays slow, factual bedtime stories — a Roman bathhouse, the rings of Saturn — read softly enough to fall asleep before the ending, with background playback that fades out over the last ten seconds. It picks up a minute before you drifted off last time and shows a simple morning receipt: the last line you heard and how long you stayed awake for it, not a sleep score. The design leans on real research — Lemyre et al.'s 2020 work on racing thoughts and Beaudoin's 'cognitive shuffle' studies.

What holds up
- +Free to download, with a full story like 'Aristotle' free to listen to, no account needed
- +Design cites real studies (Lemyre et al. 2020, Beaudoin's cognitive-shuffle work)
- +Resumes a minute before you drifted off and gives a next-morning listening receipt
Mind the limits
- −iPhone only — no Android version
- −Morning receipt tracks only when audio stopped, not sleep quality — it's not a sleep score
