Oleafly is a free, open-source desktop workspace for writing papers, theses and grant proposals in LaTeX, Typst or Markdown, with citation management and a live preview as you write. Co-authors can comment, mention each other and resolve threads directly on the manuscript in real time, and an optional AI assistant can revise a section, build a figure or fix a broken compile — but only as a change you review, not an automatic edit. Projects stay in ordinary files you own, with Git for version history, and the editor works with or without the AI assistant turned on.
