Ortwort
Location-verified surveys that only count answers from people actually standing in the area.
Ortwort lets you draw a target area — a radius, a hand-traced district, or the whole globe — and only counts survey answers from people PostGIS confirms are physically inside it, down to the metre. The first question is free (up to 3 choice questions, 3 live at once); a one-time €15 unlocks a real local survey with up to 250 answers that never expires, and €19/mo Pro adds CSV/JSON/PDF export plus private, unbranded results. Results only ever show as roughly 1.2 km map cells, and any cell under five answers stays hidden; respondents are never paid, specifically to avoid spoofing the data.
What holds up
- +Location check is enforced down to the metre by PostGIS, not just a self-reported city field
- +One-time €15 for a real local survey that never expires — no forced recurring cost
- +Results hidden below 5 answers per map cell — a real privacy floor, not just a promise
- +Respondents are never paid, specifically to keep the data from being spoofed for cash
Mind the limits
- −Results are coarse ~1.2 km cells, not exact locations — fine for sentiment, not precise geodata
- −Free tier caps at 3 questions live at once — anything bigger needs a paid tier
- −By their own description it's indicative sentiment, not a scientific sample of the area
