PageDog
Mac app that watches a page area on a schedule and lets AI judge if your condition happened.
PageDog watches a chosen area of a webpage on a schedule and sends the crop to hosted AI to judge whether a plain-language condition — 'alert me when this fare is below €80' — has been met, saving before-and-after captures as evidence. It only checks while the Mac is open, awake and online, and reuses your local signed-in browser session, though logins, CAPTCHAs and paywalls may still need you to reopen the page yourself. The free plan gives 20 AI checks a month with no card; Pro is $10/month or $90/year.

What holds up
- +States plainly what it isn't: not a cloud runner, scraper platform, CAPTCHA solver or automation builder
- +Checks run locally on your Mac — only the selected crop and visible text go to hosted AI
- +Free plan includes 20 completed AI checks a month with no card required
- +Every alert keeps a readable text diff plus before-and-after captures as evidence
Mind the limits
- −Checks only run while your Mac is open, awake and online — nothing happens while it's asleep
- −Logins, CAPTCHAs and paywalls may still need you to reopen the page manually
