Parrot is a free, open-source (GPL-3.0) meeting recorder and live copilot for Mac. It detects when a call starts, records what the Mac already plays and hears — no bot joins the meeting — and surfaces answers from documents you upload, citing the source as it does. Transcription, speaker detection and document search run on-device via Apple's own models, with cloud transcription available only if you turn it on. It needs macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon, ships as a 23MB download, and comes with seven call profiles you can customize.
