pengchujin/aerial-tv
Open-source tvOS-style launcher for Xiaomi, TCL and other China-market Android TVs, no ads.
Replaces a China-market TV's stock home screen with an ad-free, recommendation-free launcher: your apps on a glass dock, Apple TV's aerial screensavers, and a phone app that mirrors the icon grid so you can reorder, rename and hide apps by scanning a QR code. Installs over ADB without root, doesn't touch system apps, and restores to stock with one command. Setup needs developer mode enabled per TV brand — Xiaomi, TCL and Haier each use different steps.
What holds up
- +No root required, doesn't touch system apps, and restores to stock with one command
- +Ad-free, recommendation-free home screen — just your apps, wallpaper and screensavers
- +Phone app lets you reorder, rename and hide icons by scanning a QR code
Mind the limits
- −Setup needs ADB and developer mode enabled, with different steps per TV brand
- −Non-technical users are pointed toward handing the install commands to an AI agent
