Perch sits in a MacBook's notch and watches Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and pi sessions running in their own apps or in Terminal, iTerm2, Ghostty, Warp, cmux, herdr or Conductor. When a session finishes or needs an answer, a card drops from the notch showing what the agent did; you can allow or deny a command, answer a question, or reply, then jump straight back to the exact window, tab or pane. It reads only the session files your agents already keep on your Mac and sends nothing anywhere. It's free and open source under MIT, needing an Apple silicon Mac on macOS 15 or later — a physical notch is optional.

What holds up

  • +Reads only local session files and sends nothing anywhere — no data leaves your Mac.
  • +Free and open source under MIT, with no account needed to set it up.
  • +Jumps to the exact terminal tab, pane or workspace — Terminal, iTerm2, Warp, cmux, Conductor.
  • +Stays quiet during calls and presentations, and can snooze itself from 30 minutes to a day.

Mind the limits

  • −Only works with Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode or pi — other agents aren't supported.
  • −Needs Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later — Intel Macs are excluded.
