Photo Tray
Windows utility that converts, resizes and strips GPS data from photos on your PC.
Photo Tray converts HEIC, WebP, AVIF and RAW files Windows won't open, resizes or compresses whole folders, upscales with Real-ESRGAN, removes backgrounds, organizes photos by capture date, and strips GPS/EXIF data — all processed locally with nothing uploaded, up to 400 files per run with no size cap or watermark. It can also watch a folder and apply the same conversion automatically to every new photo that lands there afterward. It's free and ad-free.
What holds up
- +Nothing is uploaded — conversion, upscaling and GPS stripping all run on your own CPU
- +400 files per run, no file-size cap, no watermark and no queue
- +Can watch a folder and convert every new photo automatically from then on
- +AI upscaling and background removal ship inside the installer, no account or per-image credit
Mind the limits
- −Windows 10/11 only — no Mac or Linux build
- −AI upscaling runs on CPU and the site says it isn't fast
