Shora
Asks how you feel, then builds a guided meditation from 20 research-backed techniques.
Shora skips the usual library of sessions: you check in with a mood, a few dials, or a sentence, and it composes a session from 20 techniques such as cyclic sighing, box breathing, NSDR, and body scan, each graded Strong, Moderate, or Emerging against published research. Sessions run 3 to 20 minutes, and your ratings retrain what it picks for that mood next time. The team tried having AI weave your journal text into the narration, found it made sessions worse by keeping worries in your head, and dropped it — now a model only reads a few sentences to output four mood numbers, or you skip that entirely by using dials.

What holds up
- +Composes the session from your check-in instead of making you browse a library
- +Every technique is graded Strong/Moderate/Emerging and linked to its research paper
- +SOS button works with no signal and is free forever, never behind a paywall
- +Dropped an AI-narrated-journal feature after testing showed it made anxiety worse
Mind the limits
- −Voices only in English and Romanian so far
- −No library to pick a specific technique — you always go through mood or intent matching
