Sightline
Captures, marks up and records your Mac screen — and lets your AI agent do the same.
Sightline is a Mac screenshot and screen-recording app with a full annotation and video editor, plus a built-in MCP server and CLI so Claude Code, Codex or any MCP client can capture, mark up and record on your behalf. Show Differences pins a design or earlier screenshot over your running app and numbers every pixel-level spot that moved, is missing, or looks different — an agent can run the same check and fix what it finds. Several features — Remove Background, Replay, full keystroke display — need macOS 27, with keystroke capture explicitly skipping password fields.

What holds up
- +Built-in MCP server and CLI let an AI agent run the same capture and design-diff checks you would by hand.
- +Show Differences numbers every pixel-level change against a design file, not a vague side-by-side.
- +Keystroke display explicitly skips password fields, so demo recordings don't leak what you typed.
Mind the limits
- −Remove Background, Replay and some recording features require macOS 27 — older Macs lose those.
- −Keystroke overlay needs Input Monitoring permission — a hurdle some users won't want to grant.
