SmoothRecorder
Mac app that auto-zooms and smooths your cursor while you record, no editing after
Smooth Recorder is a native Mac screen recorder that adds zooms, cursor smoothing and captions automatically, so the edit is basically done the moment you stop recording. It also transcribes your voice on-device, letting you cut filler words or whole sentences by deleting text instead of scrubbing a timeline. It exports MP4, MOV or GIF, and doubles as a screenshot and scrolling-capture tool with the same visual style.
What holds up
- +Native Mac app, not Electron — a rare build choice the landing page calls out itself
- +Lifetime access for $9 during early access, instead of a recurring subscription
- +Transcription and captions run on-device, so voice data doesn't leave your Mac
- +Cuts filler words and pauses by editing text, skipping manual timeline scrubbing
Mind the limits
- −macOS 15 or later only — no Windows or older Mac support
- −Early-access $9 pricing is presumably temporary, though the page doesn't state the future price
