Speedpaint
Turns a photo or logo into a hand-drawn whiteboard-style sketch video automatically
Speedpaint uploads a photo, logo, or illustration, extracts line art automatically, then renders it as a stroke-by-stroke sketch video with a choice of 4 hand styles and 4 coloring styles (wipe, brush, blocks, fade), exporting up to 1080p MP4 or GIF. It's credit-based: the free plan gives 10 credits once at 720p/15s with a watermark, while paid plans start at $4.50/mo for 30 credits/month at 1080p/30s with no watermark. The vendor's own comparison admits traditional whiteboard software still wins for a five-minute multi-scene explainer built from stock clip libraries — Speedpaint is for turning your own image into a video in minutes instead.
What holds up
- +Extracts line art from your own photo automatically — no manual tracing needed
- +Free plan gives 10 credits to test before paying, no credit card mentioned
- +Vendor's own comparison admits traditional tools win for long multi-scene explainers
Mind the limits
- −Free tier is watermarked and capped at 720p, 15 seconds
- −Credit-based pricing — longer or higher-res videos cost more credits, not flat rate
