Swimcast
Syncs podcast episodes from your iPhone to MP3 swim headphones before you get in the water.
Pick podcast episodes on your iPhone and Swimcast syncs them as MP3 files straight to a folder on your swim headphones — Shokz OpenSwim, Xtrainerz, FINIS Duo and similar MP3 players — since Bluetooth doesn't work underwater. First sync is free; unlimited syncs come with a one-time Swimcast Plus lifetime purchase. iPhone only for now, with Android support stated as coming soon.
What holds up
- +One-time Swimcast Plus purchase unlocks unlimited syncs — no subscription to cancel later.
- +Built specifically for folder-based MP3 headphones, since Bluetooth doesn't work underwater.
- +Setup runs from the phone you already have, skipping any laptop step before a swim.
Mind the limits
- −iPhone only for now — Android users are told to wait for a "coming soon" release.
- −Works only with MP3 swim headphones exposing a writable folder, not Bluetooth models generally.
