Tellie
Mac teleprompter that follows your actual words instead of scrolling at a fixed speed.
Tellie is a Mac teleprompter that listens instead of just scrolling: it tracks the words you actually say and waits if you pause, picking back up if you skip a line, so a fixed-speed scroll never runs ahead of you. Speech recognition runs on-device through Apple's own engine — nothing is uploaded, nothing is kept — and the whole app is a 4MB download that works offline with no account, just a Pro license key pasted into Settings. It's also invisible to screen recording, Zoom, Meet and FaceTime, so it sits under your camera without showing up in the recording or call. Pro adds extras like must-cover point tracking (Stagehand), Keynote notes in the notch (Presenter Magic), and post-take feedback (Take Coach).
What holds up
- +Follows the words you actually say and waits when you pause — no fixed scroll speed to outrun.
- +Speech recognition runs on-device via Apple's engine — nothing is uploaded or kept.
- +Invisible to screen recording, Zoom, Meet and FaceTime, so it never shows up on camera.
- +No account at all — Pro is just a license key pasted into Settings.
Mind the limits
- −Mac only — there's no Windows or mobile teleprompter app.
- −Most advanced features (Stagehand, Presenter Magic, Take Coach, Companion) are Pro-gated, not free.
