Open-source teleprompter for Mac and iOS that highlights each word as you speak it
Textream is a free, open-source teleprompter for Mac, iPhone and iPad with three modes: word-by-word tracking via macOS speech recognition, constant-speed auto-scroll with no microphone, and voice-activated scrolling that pauses when you go quiet. On iPhone and iPad it adds near-camera reading and presenter-only recording — the scrolling prompt stays on screen while you record but isn't burned into the saved video. It requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later and installs via the App Store, a .dmg, or Homebrew.
